From Private Profiles and trending Discover feeds to creator shops, direct messaging updates, and performance improvements, here's what's new, what's better, and what's fixed across Parler and Parler Play this week.
Private Profiles are here
Private Profiles give users more control over who can view their posts, videos, and activity across Parler.You can now make your Parler account private. Turn it on, and new followers have to send a request you approve before they can see your posts, and people you haven't approved can't view your content anywhere you use Parler. We built the setting into the web app, made sure private posts and videos stay private, and cleaned up the follow-request flow so it behaves the way you'd expect.
Discover now shows what's trending
The Discover feed on Parler mobile now surfaces trending, high-engagement content from across the platform.Open Discover and you'll see what's actually catching fire across Parler right now, ranked the same way across phone and laptop.
More New Features Across Parler and Play
Stories: reply to a story right from the viewer, plus fixes for video looping, preserved reply text, and the keyboard covering the text box.Direct messages: unsend a message and tappable @mentions in DMs.Posting: a rebuilt media picker, swipe between images, and swipe-down/tap-outside to close a photo.Shopping: creator shops, category and search pages, checkout, and order history are now live on the web.Inviting friends: an in-feed invite card, a polished Refer Friends page, and better-looking shared invite links.Lounges: live unread badges, request-to-join links, and member-removal tools for admins.
Improvements & Fixes
The feed now keeps your scroll position when you leave and come back."Who to Follow" refreshes dynamically and user search is more accurate.Shared links generate proper previews and open to the right content. Play videos now play inline on Parler.A "Follow Back" button now appears on follow notifications, which load more as you scroll.Fixed: the missing compose button on web, comment edits not showing, account deactivation errors, photo framing, image previews, and a slow video-upload spinner.
Trust & Safety
We routed all lounge posts through automated moderation, added posting timeouts on comments and stories to curb spam, improved our moderation and reporting tools, and updated our Terms of Service.More is coming soon, including Stories sharing, a refreshed For You feed, expanded Lounge features, and additional advertising capabilities.Have feedback?
