What's New on Parler: Post Editing, Stories, Play Updates & More (May 30–June 9)

The momentum hasn't slowed. From Stories on the web and post editing across platforms to Play improvements, messaging updates, and dozens of user-requested fixes, here's everything new on Parler web, Parler mobile, and Play between May 30 and June 9. As always, many of these updates came directly from your feedback and continue to shape what we build next.

Pin it, and edit it your way

Two of the most-requested basics are here. You can now pin one of your own posts to the top of your profile, so the thing you most want people to see stays front and center.

Editing also took a big step forward. After post editing arrived on mobile, it quickly became one of the features people asked us to bring everywhere — so it's now available on Parler for the web too, with the same ability to update your post, including its media, after you publish. And on Play, you can now edit your videos and bursts at any time, not just in a short window after uploading. Wherever you post, you have more room to fix a typo or refine your message.

Stories arrive on Parler for the web

Stories are now available directly on Parler Web, bringing one of the platform's most popular features to desktop users. You can now share and view Stories right from your browser, see your own the moment you upload, and tap outside to close. Discover is also the default tab now, videos play as you scroll, and your uploading videos show a clear "Processing" badge so you always know where things stand.

Play keeps getting better

New features, messaging updates, creator tools, and quality-of-life enhancements continue to roll out across Play. Cross-posting from Play to Parler is back for both videos and bursts, and custom thumbnails now stay exactly as you set them across navigation and reloads. We also added a delete-message option in DMs, making conversations easier to manage.

Conversations and connections

Mentions now work the way you'd expect — tag someone in a post and they'll be notified, just like in comments. When someone switches their account from private to public, any pending follow requests are accepted automatically and those followers are notified. And blocking is now more complete, applying everywhere across the app, including Stories.

You reported it, we fixed it

For a while, sharing certain external video links — Rumble in particular — left a broken or empty preview that made posts look unfinished. A lot of you told us about it, and we fixed it. Those links now generate a clean preview card again, so shared videos look the way they should. This one is a direct result of people taking the time to report it, and we're grateful for it.

Cleaner, more reliable details

A batch of refinements makes everyday use feel better: YouTube links now play in-app, profiles show your real "Joined" date, saving your profile works smoothly even with fields left blank, and deleting a post is faster with comment counts that stay correct. Referral links now show a proper preview image when shared, and new sign-ups land right on the Create Your Profile page. You'll also notice a refreshed Parler logo.

Parler and Play mobile app updates

New builds of the Parler and Play apps moved through the release pipeline during this period, carrying these improvements to your phone alongside the web. We're keeping web and mobile closely in step so the experience feels consistent wherever you are.

We're listening

As always, the through-line here is you. The updates above reflect what you've been asking for, and your feedback continues to steer what we build. If there's something you want to see, or something that isn't working the way it should, let us know — keep it coming, and thank you for helping shape Parler.
