Parler Update: Stories, Reactions, Creator Tools & Shop

We've shipped a lot over the past two weeks, across Parler on the web, Parler on your phone, and Play. None of it happened in a vacuum — a huge amount of it came directly from the things you've been telling us. Here's a look at what's new, what's better, and where we're headed.

A better way to react

Reactions got a real upgrade. There's now a reaction bar with thumbs and a full emoji picker, and it works consistently across posts, comments, and bursts on both Parler and Play. Whether you're on the web or your phone, reacting to something you love (or don't) now feels the same everywhere.

Stories that put your people first

Stories now lead with the people who matter most to you — close friends and mutuals surface first, and the ones you haven't seen yet rise to the top. We also smoothed out playback and viewing, tightened up Story audio, and made sure that when you tap into a profile from a Story, you land in the right place. You can also mute someone's Stories on their own, separate from muting their posts.

More control over what you see

You asked for finer control over your feed, and it's here. You can now mute someone at the post, comment, or Story level instead of all-or-nothing. We also added a quick confirmation step before an unfollow, so an accidental tap no longer costs you a connection. And "Who to Follow" stopped suggesting people you already follow.

Comments that work like posts

Comments are now first-class. You can repost or quote a comment, reply with the full conversation thread in view, and follow a link straight to the exact comment you were looking for. Verification badges now show up next to comment authors too, so it's clearer who you're talking to.

Easier discovery

Finding good content and good people got better. Trending tags are more accurate, hashtag search is sharper, and starting a search with "#" now takes you straight to hashtags. Long posts and comments now neatly clamp with a "Show more" option so feeds stay easy to scan.

Profiles, creators, and Shop

Profiles now show accurate video and burst counts, a website link appears the moment you add it, and your connections list now includes a follow button and a "Follows you" indicator. For creators, custom video thumbnails now stick the way you set them, and store navigation is cleaner. New members also arrive with invite codes to share, and our refreshed Invite & Earn flow makes referrals simpler.

On mobile

New versions of the Parler and Play apps rolled out through the App Store and Google Play during this period, bringing these improvements to your phone alongside the web. More mobile updates are already in the pipeline.

Faster and smoother

Under the hood, we focused on speed and polish: quicker rendering, smoother sign-in, and far fewer of those abrupt error pop-ups. The result is an app that simply gets out of your way.

We're listening

Almost everything above traces back to feedback from people like you. We're reading it all, and it's directly shaping our roadmap. If something feels off or there's something you'd love to see, tell us — keep the feedback coming, and thank you for being part of Parler.
